WOWTV, the television show dedicated solely discount watches, will feature David Mermelstein, the president of Croton watches, in an upcoming show.
“We just love having David as a guest on the show,” said Charla Rines, Co-Host, WOWTV. “He is incredibly energetic, passionate and knowledgeable about watches—his whole life has been about watches,” she continued. “It is so fun to be on air with him. I just love him…love him to pieces!”
Founded in 1878, the Croton name has always been synonymous with its core values of quality, precision, design and style. The modern-day company, headed by Mermelstein, continues a healthy growth track that saw sales of one million watches alone in 2007 with continued growth through current year 2012. The company’s production has increased to a minimum of 250 new styles per year to keep up with demand—a feat that defies most manufacturers’ growth cycles given the economic environment of the past several years.
Croton watches, which feature high-quality, precise timepieces at an extremely affordable price point, are a best seller at World of Watches. “The line has such great style and craftsmanship—you couple that with its incredible affordability and you understand why it’s one of our most popular brands,” said Russell Ackner, VP of Marketing, The SWI Group. “The majority of people still don’t have the same level of discretionary income as they did in years past and they realize the ‘more bang for your buck’ factor Croton watches offer.
