Volkswagen and E! Launch Awards Season Partnership

Volkswagen of America, Inc. and E! Entertainment have agreed to a first-of-its-kind, year-long partnership in celebration of a shared passion for style and design.

With multi-faceted activations planned for the five biggest award shows in entertainment, the Golden Globes, SAGs, GRAMMYs, Academy Awards, and Emmys, Volkswagen and E! are gearing up to give their own unique, fashionable spin on the red carpet.

"E! is excited to welcome Volkswagen of America as the first-ever partner for all five award shows for E! Live From the Red Carpet," said Patty Gilchrist, SVP E! Ad Sales. "Volkswagen is a great partner who recognized that E! is the premier media destination for all things pop culture, and we are looking forward to what will be the ultimate celebration of celebrity style as the perfect place to showcase Volkswagen's great, affordable automotive design."

Volkswagen style meets Hollywood style when Fashion Police cohost George Kotsiopoulos takes to the streets of Los Angeles in a special "Squad Car" edition of the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta as Captain of the Fashion Squad.

The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta is easy on both the eyes and the wallet. With that in mind, George and his Fashion Squad Co-Captain, Amanda, are dedicated to finding great style that doesn't break the bank.

The Fashion Squad teasers and spots will air leading up to and during the big night of each award show.

Too stylish to be contained on TV, E! Online will host a special Fashion Squad site during awards' season where fans can view George's fashion adventures as well as photo galleries of their favorite stars from the red carpet.

The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta is currently featured in two new advertisements, Bad Dog, Good Volkswagen, which will be shown during the Golden Globes, and Door Thunk that will be shown during the SAG awards on January 27^th. The Jetta Hybrid will be featured in a :30 second spot titled "Passing Lane" during the Grammys. The Hybrid will also be featured in a spot leading up to the Academy Awards.
