Vionnet's Spring 2013 Collection Lacks Punch

Late this summer, Vionnet parted ways with creative directors Barbara and Lucia Croce, after only less than a year.  Vinnoet used an internal team and the help of Goga Ashkenazi to design the Spring 2013 collection.  

Tissue-weight jerseys and silks with minimalistic designs left the audience wanting more from the collection.  Maybe all the personnel shifts and changes left Ashkenazi nervous she would stray too far from Vionnet's signature styles.  With all her efforts, the results could have used a little more punch.
