With the addition of an Independent Designer Runway Show to Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection, the Fashion Week team has rethought the normal “production process” of producing a runway show into a mentorship process for the participating designers, selected in June. The addition of an Independent Designer Runway Show to Fashion Week has been a huge step forward in using the week-long event as a platform for local, independent designers to showcase their work and elevate their exposure as Seattle-based designers.

The selected designers are Anne Sylvain by Patricia Raskin, Ampersand As Apostrophe by Jessica Park, Bd Hommeby Banchong Douangphrachanh, Built For Man by Francisco Hernandez, Carole McClellan by Carole McClellan, KateS Mensah by Kathy Sabin-Mensah, Masha Osoianu Design by Masha Osoianu, and Olga Szwed by Olga Szwed.

The show on Sept. 26th will also feature Seattle-area NBC's Season One Fashion Star contestants Lisa VIan Hunter of VIan Hunter House of Fashion and Lizzie Parker on the runway.
