Philadelphia Fashion Week is not the only time Philadelphia gets a catwalk. Shake-N-Go, a national beauty supply manufacturer, is looking for a fresh face for its upcoming national advertising campaign and hosting a model casting call today, at The Independent Hotel from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The promotion is for Shake-N-Go’s newest hair product Cuticle Remy XQ. Shake-N-Go is partnering with House of Talent, a Philadelphia-based modeling and public relations firm for the casting call. The chosen girl will shoot a new campaign every month for the next year.
“Companies are tired of seeing the same girls all the time from New York,” said Antoine Johnson, principal and owner of House of Talent. “There is a lot of talent in Philadelphia. Shake-N-Go knew it could look to the Greater Philadelphia area to find the right girl for this paid campaign. We are looking for female models of all ethnicities and hope to see lots of fresh faces today.”
The casting will take place in the lobby of The Independent Hotel, a 24-room boutique hotel located at the corner of 13th and Locust Streets, in the Midtown Village neighborhood of Center City Philadelphia. The Independent Hotel is a member of HHM’s Independent Collection, a portfolio of independent hotels that curate the standout neighborhoods in which they reside and offer authentic travel experiences for their guests. The Independent Collection is also headquartered in Philadelphia.
Candidates at the casting call will take the elevator to the 2nd floor lobby, walk the runway, and get a prompt response on whether they will be chosen. Casting organizers will select top finalists by the end of the day.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the search for the next face of Cuticle Remy XQ. Also, this event has a reality show feel to it, given the promptness of the decision − it should be fun!” said Erin Fitzharris, an Independent Collection manager.
The requirements for the candidates: female, height of 5’5 or taller, clothing size between 0-6 and between the ages of 15 and 26. Have what it takes? Come walk the runway at 1234 Locust Street.
