Royal Asscher Creates Exclusive Collection For MTV RE:DEFINE

Sixth generation diamantaire Lita Asscher and art specialist Anna-Sophia van Zweden have come together, combining their biggest loves, to create a unique, limited edition collection exclusively for MTV RE:DEFINE. The one-of-a-kind collection will be auctioned at The MTV Staying Alive Foundation's Aids Benefit Art Exhibition and Auction, RE:DEFINE, presented by the Goss-Michael Foundation in Dallas, on September 22nd from 7pm -12am.

The collection's inspiration was drawn from beautiful and famous works of art combined with Royal Asscher's patented jewelry innovation, Stars of Africa. The jewelry consists of diamonds, sapphires and rubies encased in a fluid-filled sapphire dome, which allows them to fall freely, like snowflakes in a snow globe. The result is cascading diamonds which emit light, fire and beauty as they move, like falling stars; the effect coupled with the gorgeous colors inspired by the works of art is truly mesmerizing!

Last year, the sold-out VIP event raised over $700,000 for the charity with original works of art from 30 prominent International Artists including Damien Hirst. This year, the silent auction will feature an exclusive selection of bespoke luxury packages including a VIP package to the launch of Stella McCartney's new collection in New York, unique jewelry by Royal Asscher and a private concert orchestrated by Musical America's "Conductor of the Year 2012," Jaap van Zweden.

Prior to the high-profile event, Lita Asscher and Anna-Sophia van Zweden will host a private, exclusive viewing of the Royal Asscher for MTV RE:DEFINE collection alongside Royal Asscher's complete Stars of Africa floating diamonds at The Joule Hotel on Friday, the 21st from 5:30-8pm.
