Proenza Schouler opened their Madison Avenue boutique last July. It was a logical move. The ladies of the Upper East Side have the incomes to shop shop shop. Now designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez told WWD that they are eyeing spaces downtown.
Hernandez confirmed that they're scouting out locations in Soho, and mentioned that Greene Street was a likely choice. The neighborhood, an obvious selection, is already home to many high end stores like Opening Ceremony, Chanel and Prada. McCollough adds that the important part was they settle somewhere further south: "We like the idea of having both ends of the island covered."
