WWD announced that creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, one of the most acclaimed French designers of his generation, is leaving Balenciaga. This change is effective on November 30th and Balenciaga cited "joint decision to end their working relationship" as the reason.
Ghesquière has been the creative director of Balenciaga since 1997 and most recently created on their most successful shows for the 2013 Spring fashion season.
