Natalie Portman & Sofia Coppola Do Rosey New Dior Ad

Academy Award-winning BLACK SWAN star Natalie Portman joins LOST IN TRANSLATION Oscar-winning screenwriter/director Sofia Coppola for a visually splendrous new Christian Dior Miss Dior line promotional advertisement titled after the famous French chanteuse Edith Piaf's legendary ballad (and the biopic made of her life for which Marion Cotillard won a well-earned Academy Award), "La Vie En Rose".

Part LA DOLCE VITA, part French new wave and completely Coppola all the while, Portman's fountain frolic and couture swimming at the start leads to a vintage car ride below swaying Los Angeles palms and gives way to some black and white romance, all set to the cooing of a swingin' cover of "La Vie En Rose".

The second half of the ad finds Portman descending a staircase in a stunning frock to then be swirled around by her beloved in a warm embrace before a joyful fall into a literal bed of multi-colored roses. Enchante!

Natalie Portman is currently the face of Dior and is featured in much of their print and TV advertising.
