NEST Fragrances, a leading designer and manufacturer of luxurious fragrances and products for the bath, body and home, unveiled After Midnight, a sultry and daring collection of three new luxury scented candles. The seductive candle trio – One O'Clock, Two O'Clock and Three O'Clock – debuts this month at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Ricky's NYC.
"I was driving around East Hampton in my car one evening and this incredibly provocative song by Ke$ha came on the radio about the apparent activities that take place at an after-hours club," said Laura Slatkin, Founder, Creative Director and CEO of NEST Fragrances. "The song was 'Take It Off' and it inspired me to create an After Midnight collection. As I was listening to the lyrics, I thought to myself, 'These people are not burning my Periwinkle Hyacinth fragrance,' so I set out to develop a collection of very alluring fragrances to burn after midnight."
Spanning such sexually charged fragrance categories as Leather, Oriental and Woody, Slatkin designed After Midnight to ignite the olfactory pleasures of consumers looking to set the right mood and ambiance for their late-night activities, whatever they may be. The three tempting new fragrances include: One O'Clock – Oriental Orchid: Wild orchid, night-blooming jasmine and frangipani flower are layered over a sultry blend of exotic woods, black pepper and vetiver; Two O'Clock – Italian Leather: Cedarwood and a soft suede accord are blended with bergamot and enhanced with cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon bark; and Three O'Clock – Exotic Woods: The essence of Mysore sandalwood is entwined with subtle nuances of smoldering embers, black amber and frankincense.
In a recent interview published in The Wall Street Journal (Nov. 28, 2012), Slatkin said, "I have no idea what people are doing after midnight, but these are the fragrances you'd want to burn."
