Menswear Brand Pudu Opens First Store in Goa

Pudu launched its first store in Goa. There it will debut a first-of-its-kind collection for men designed by former model and Co-Founder and Creative Head of Pudu, Andrew Piers in partnership with David D'Souza, a well-known entrepreneur in Goa. The one-of-a-kind collection, which ranges from accessories to outerwear, showcases Andrew's signature spin on classic menswear pieces.

"Right from the conceptualization stage of the design process, we knew this collection was going to be something our customers have been looking for," said Andrew Piers.

With price points starting at Rs. 1090 for Goa essentials such as shorts and ranging up to Rs. 15,000 for more indulgent pieces like a leather weekender bag, the collection has been designed keeping in mind the tastes and preferences of people in Goa. Inspired by the seaside state itself, the collection will include shirts, shorts, pants, belts, and limited-edition jackets.

"There is a serious need for clothes that are stylish, international in look and feel, and comfortable. Pudu is all of that and more. The collection showcased is specially made from fabrics ideal for the tropical climate - voile, cotton, and linen - and the different colours and styles make them perfect for Goa." said David D'Souza.

Opined Andrew Piers, "As part of our brand strategy, we aim to launch stores in select cities that do not have access to classic, comfortable, yet stylish clothes. Our partnership with David clearly establishes our intent and we plan to announce a few more stores across India in the near future. We have deliberately decided to keep away from the metros for now since we find that they have reached saturation point. This is in line with our vision to strengthen our leadership position by making strategic in-roads into cities that reflect our brand's personality."
