Mary Kay, one of the world's largest beauty and direct selling companies, celebrates 50 years of enriching women's lives by hosting makeovers for women all around the world.
Mary Kay joins with its independent sales force members, beauty enthusiasts, brand lovers and supporters in more than 20 countries for the first-ever Mary Kay Global Makeover Day, a simultaneous event uniting all of Mary Kay in setting a world record for the most number of makeovers in 24 hours. With the help of the Mary Kay Global Makeup Artist Team, makeover day participants will learn how to apply one of Mary Kay's new signature makeup looks.
The global celebration, held on International Women's Day, honors the company's heritage of providing opportunities to women around the world and kicks off the company's 50th anniversary celebration which culminates on Sept. 13, 2013. Mary Kay Ash founded "Beauty by Mary Kay" in Dallas 50 years ago with $5,000 and a dream of enriching women's lives.
Makeover events are planned throughout the world from Malaysia to Mexico, Armenia to Argentina and Korea to Kazakhstan. Three events are being held in the United States in New York's Times Square, The Grove in Los Angeles and The Mary Kay Building in Dallas with live streaming available at www.marykaymakeoverday.com.
