Don't panic but Lululemon has recalled a batch of their black luon yoga pants due to excessive sheerness.
Lululemon.com said:
At the beginning of March, our stores and ecommerce site received some black luon women's bottoms that didn't meet our high standards. The materials used in construction were the same but the coverage was not, resulting in increased sheerness. We want you to Down Dog and Crow with confidence and we felt these pants didn't measure up.
The Canadian company has taken the pants off its store shelves and website over the weekend, which means there will be a temporary shortage of its black Luon pants and crops. Lululemon said they believe the recall affected about 17% of women's in store pants.
The cause is a bit of a mystery as the company says they haven't changed their materials or suppliers. But until that mystery is solved, there will be a a short-term shortage of luon pants. "For the near term, there will be a shortage of some styles available to our guests," they write, but don't worry: "We are also exploring all opportunities to increase inventory levels as quickly as possible, so long as our standards are met."
If you believe you have a defective pair, Lululemon is issuing full refunds or exchanges through their Guest Education Center, which can be reached at 1-877-263-9300 or gec@lululemon.com. Click here for all the details.
