Louis Vuitton once again tapped French artist Daniel Buren to recreate his checkboard set used in the Spring 2013 runway show for their upcoming ad campaign. The campaign was shot by Steven Meisel in New York and are set to appear in February 2013.
The models are all wearing the mod pieces from the Spring RTW collection, which, according to Jacobs, are a play on Louis Vuitton's iconic Damier check. The add campaign was shot with a kaleidoscope effect mirroring the runway's double models. The double-take setup heightens "the message of repetition and the repetition of patterns," Marc Jacobs said.
I can't wait to see the window displays for this collection hit all the stores in March!
