Jewelry Television®, the world's authority on jewelry and gemstones, will feature some of its greatest designers for Jewel School® Designer Days on Sept. 19 through 24. In addition to wonderful tips, tricks and advice from the stars, JTV will announce the winners of the 2012 Jewel School Design Contest.

They uploaded between one and five images, as well as a short paragraph explaining the piece, inspiration, techniques, and an itemized list of materials they used. The grand prize is $2,500 cash and $2,500 in Jewel School products. Each customer could submit one entry in any of the following categories:
- General beading
- Wire work
- Metal play
- Seed beading
- Lampwork
"Jewel School is extremely special to us because we know what it takes for every little detail that goes into creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry," said Trisha Condra, vice president of merchandising for Jewel School. "To bring in undiscovered, upcoming talent and give them a chance to make their dreams come true is something we truly look forward to every year, so we jumped at the opportunity of the 2012 Jewel School Design Contest."
Jewel School Designer Days will highlight a dozen talented designers throughout the event. Jewel School is a division of Jewelry Television that offers tools and supplies for jewelry making including kits, beads, gemstones, stringing and wire wrapping materials and accessories. JTV's Jewel School also offers resources like instructional DVDs and videos teaching how to create different types of jewelry or use different tools.
"Not many people know this but many of the designers we feature at JTV are unique in the fact that they're involved with every step, from product development to demonstrating it on air," Condra said. "We are proud to showcase them and their unique products and techniques during Designer Days this year, and we think customers will be equally as happy."
