Geometric shapes, bold colors, graphic prints filled the runway at Issey Miyake's Spring 2013 show.
WWD reported that creative director Yoshiyuki Miyamae said, "the collection was inspired by images of birds alighting on water, a look simulated by striped sweaters whose stretchy ribs bounced with every step. Under the light reflected by the foil catwalk, they appeared to shimmer like the sun on the ocean."
That's as much nature as you can pull from this collection. The rest has a distinct urban feel, like trying to navigate Times Square on the busiest of days.
