The Post is rumoring that the Barneys Co-op in Chelsea might closing it's 18th Street location. According to the article, "Barneys New York may be leaving downtown for the second time-the original Barneys at West 17th Street and Seventh Avenue closed in 1997. Management at the 18th Street Chelsea Co-op has been told that it may close late next month."
However, the article also states that "the swanky retailer's PR staff is denying any move is afoot," meaning that it's still 100% unconfirmed.
If it is true, two big questions immediately come to mind. The first is where would the store relocate to, if it relocates at all. The article is unclear as to whether the location is closing for good or possibly moving. Secondly, if the store does close, where would they hold the beloved and always crowded Warehouse Sale, which would normally begin in about a month.
