Fashion Photo of the Day 2/1/13 - Cate Blanchett

I know exactly what the awards season red carpet has been missing: Cate Blanchett! The beautiful, statuesque star always takes fashion risks, wears something that most women can't pull off and always looks stunning. Oscars 2011 red carpet anyone? That Givenchy Couture moment was like a breath of fashion fresh air that evening and Blanchett did not let that creation wear her.

For this week's Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, Blanchett turned Armani Prive for this dramatic red and black sequined gown. I love the structure, the design and the deep plunge in the front. But my favorite part of the dress, is the not-to-the-floor mermaid hemline! This look is so fun and so glamorous and Blanchett knows she looks ah-ma-zing.
