Fashion Photo of the Day 1/11/13 - Emma Stone

Emma Stone looked very fresh for 5:30am PST yesterday as she hosted the Oscar nominees alongside Seth McFarlane. I love that she went for a more classic, retro feel with this Andrew Gn belted dress and the old Hollywood galmour curl to her hair.

The dress definitely had a modern edge with the stark white, pleating detail and the addition to pockets. Pockets instantly make a full skirt feel fresh, don't you think? When I saw this dress on Ms. Stone I immediately thought of Charlotte York from Sex and the City! Specifically the episode in season 3 when Charlotte and Trey get engaged outside of Tiffany's. Charlotte was wearing a very similiar, retro blue dress. The look is lady-like and elegant - an aesthetic Ms. Stone has been rocking lately especially with the other day's Lanvin red dress.
