Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, of Current/Elliott, are parting ways with the company reports WWD. Their co-founder, Serge Azria, will continue to operate the label as both creative director and CEO.
The Los Angeles-based stylists provided no reason for their departure, but did indicate that they "have a number of design projects on the horizon and also will carry on styling and consulting."
I am sure their celebrity fans and clients like Emma Roberts and MAndy Moore will be glad to know the duo will be around for fashion consults! And after the pair was just inducted in the CFDA earlier this year, I am fairly confident this won't be the last we see of their California cool girl aesthetic.
