A verdict has yet to be reached on Burch vs. Burch, but Chris Burch's business seems to already be taking a hit. According to WWD, Burch Creative Capital has put on hold plans to open two more retail companies in addition to C.Wonder and Monika Chiang (Burch's current girl friend) over the next two years.
"We're concentrating our full resources on these efforts," Burch told the trade. "We have temporarily delayed the launches of two other brands under development at Burch Creative Capital - Electric Love Army and Number 9 Christopher - postponing planned launch dates from 2013 to 2014 to 2014-2015. A heightened focus and intensive concentration of our resources will drive growth of the C. Wonder and Monika Chiang brands as well as innovation around the unique shopping experiences they offer."
Is this code for my current lawsuit is too costly? The battle rages on!
