Arefeh Mansouri Represents Greatness During New York Fashion Week

On the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2012, Arefeh Mansouri stole the show during New York fashion week, carving out her place among the fashion elite.

Arefeh's Runway show, staged just feet away from the September 11 memorial illustrated her originality and authenticity. "I wanted to go all out and do something grand' This isn't the time to be simple and down to earth. I wanted to represent the greatness and energy of what is New York City, despite the tragedy it has endured," said the designer.

In fact, her pieces are totally original. No inspiration from past designers or ancient cultures here. She has daringly and successfully fused a multiplicity of fabric, materials, and textures to produce cohesive pieces that ooze avant-garde.

Indeed, we can't wait to see what the Fashion/Costume Designer herself will wear at the 2012 Emmy Awards on September 23rd.
