Anzea's Faux Leather is 'Too Close to Call'

The Anzea "Too Close To Call" collection is just a hair away from real leather. The glove leather look of Calf Crazy or the pebble grain texture of Buckaroo will fool everyone but the cow. For even more luxury the designer can select the heavy emboss of Bull's Eye or the pulled antiqued look of Mammoth Deception. The natural leather beauty and luxury story of these four faux leathers is enhanced by ease of cleaning even within the stringent healthcare requirements. The built in stain resistant finish cannot wash or wear off.

The specially engineered skin-like fiber matrix construction maximizes breathability and comfort further simulating natural leather. This faux leather collection does not contain any PVC or plasticizers and does not emit off gasses. The manufacturing process uses the latest technology to capture any airborne particles and recycles them into heating fuel.

The four patterns Buckaroo, Calf Crazy, Bull's Eye and Mammoth Deception are puncture and scratch resistant. Rub a blemish and it nearly disappears. After trying it, compare it with the traditional polyurethane or vinyl.

The Too Close To Call collection is now available to contract designers, architects and residential occupants. This is just part of a number of collections from Anzea manufactured with green technology in the United States. More designs will be added to this collection throughout the year.

Anzea was founded in 1990 by creative director Mitzi Mills and business partner Bruce Doeren. Since the company's inception, Anzea has focused on contract upholstery textiles offering the marketplace the option of leading edge colors, bold designs and high performance. These designs are reflective of Mills graphic design background, love of photography and travel.

The Anzea contract textile collection is a spirited mix of materials from luxurious natural fibers to recycled polyester yarns. Bleach cleanable, solution dyed fabrics and vinyl upholstery form a cohesive high performance bond with the green faux leathers in nylon matrix and polyurethane.

To complement Mills designs, Anzea expanded to include the Jhane Barnes collection adding a layer of sophisticated fashion. Barnes joined Ruth Adler Schnee as an inspiring voice in the Anzea design brand. Schnee's mid-century designs for Anzea are in galleries and museums worldwide. Schnee's understanding of the whimsy in textile design has influenced the color palette and patterns developed by Anzea and the design team over the last 22 years.
