Amazon is pushing towards high fashion reported WWD. Amazon announced it has leased a 40,000 square foot space in the "emerging" neighborhood Williamsburg, Brookyn. They will use this space to shoot product images for Amazon Fashion, as well as their other apparel sites Shopbop and MyHabit.
Retailers better watch out as Amazon expands into their territory. They have already set the bar for customer experience. Even PPR's CEO François-Henri Pinault admits Amazon is number one when it comes to the in-cart and checkout experience.
But will people be as comfortable shopping for clothes on Amazon as they are shopping for household items?
